Do this when you feel lost

Hello,

It's almost 2 AM & I am not feeling sleepy. & for no reason, I want to write something. So I thought let's write an article instead of writing about some nonexistent problems :-)

The thing that we will talk about today is Motivation. Now I will talk about this in terms of coding :-)

Feeling Lost:

There are some moments in your life when you don't feel like doing anything & you are losing interest in everything even in your passion. & you have nothing to do with it except feeling like sh*t & of no use.

Now the method that I found useful is making a place where you can go to feel motivated for your next phase of life or if you are feeling that you have lost track.

Before talking about the method, first, let's talk about some important things before understanding the method.

What are Small Wins?

The small tasks that are part of your goal are simply called SMALL WINS. For Example, If you have a goal of completing 12 projects in one year, completing 1 project would be a small win.

You can set your small wins according to your goal. Now the question is why we talked about SMALL WINS? It's because, in this method, we will use our small wins to motivate ourselves.

Now To use this method, you need some of your small wins. What if you haven't saved any small win? Don't worry just read the method & from now, save every small win that you feel is worth saving. And while you are saving your wins what you can do is try different things like Gratitude Journal or Manifestation etc. & when you have enough wins, you can try this method.

Now Let's talk about the method.

Inspiration Board:

Now we are all set to talk about the method. Now after you have enough wins, What you have to do is create a space where you can save all of your wins in one place. Let's call it INSPIRATION BOARD.

You can make an Inspiration board physically on a diary or digitally on software. I use both of them. Let me show you Inspiration Board :-)

Digitally Inspiration Board:

This is the snap of my Inspiration Board that I have created in Notion.

Notion is notes taking website but you can use it for many purposes. It's FREE & you can easily make it in like 10 minutes even if you're a beginner.

Physical Inspiration Board:

You can even try to maintain a diary of your small wins.

This is a section in my diary where I maintain my small wins.

The more advanced version is to dedicate your room wall where you can paste your wins with photos like this :-)

I haven't tried this but you can try this if you have a spare wall to do this thing.

Try any of the mentioned methods and make your inspiration board.

How to use it?

Now you have made an INSPIRATON BOARD. Let's talk about how you can use it.

Every time you feel unmotivated or feel that you have lost the track, Remind yourself why you start your DREAM? Go through all of wins that you have achieved.

Example:

Let's say you made a goal of making your own Software House. You divide the goal into small parts. Let's say you made parts of building & delivering 20 projects from freelancing websites. Completing each project will be your small win.

Now let's say you completed your 10 projects & you feel nothing is happening & you want to QUIT. Now at this moment, you have completed 50% of your goal. What you can do to get back on track & motivate yourself to accomplish your goal is open your inspirational board & see your small wins i.e. your projects that you have completed. You may have some wonderful projects that you enjoyed building it & you felt proud of yourself. By seeing your previous wins, your motivation will boost & you will get back on track with your goal.

This method is also useful for checking your progress as you are writing down the progress of your particular goal.

That's it for the article.

If you like the article, share it with your friends. You can give your valuable feedback in the comment section.

See you in the next one :-)
